In Irons
I broke the boat. During the trials and errors of trying to back the boat into the slip during our last Wednesday night outing I managed to do something to the transmission/shaft or whatever. Husband will have to haul the boat to check it out. Bummer!
Despite the bad news we did manage to have a beautiful sail yesterday. The sailing club was having a fun race and although we didn't make the start on time (couldn't motor over) we completed the course. It was nice to have husband/coach back as skipper and helmsman and I was glad to be working the sails. Great chicken salad, bread and brownies rounded out the day.

oops! Dad wasn't too annoyed was he?
He's handling it well.
Why were you backing into the slip? It might be easier to go in bow-first, get settled and then flip the boat. I'm assuming you have a downwind slip and want the bow pointing into the wind. What kind of boat?
