Deep Creek Lake

For the past six years we have gathered with children and grandchildren to vacation and celebrate family. This year we went to Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland.





Deep Creek Lake State Park has a sandy beach, perfect for children. The park has not only a beach and playgrounds, but hiking and nature programs.

We stayed at a beautiful log home in the mountains near Whisp. We could sit on the deck and watch the boats on the lake down below.




Swallow Falls State Park offered great hiking and the highest falls in Maryland.

I'm off to Laughlin, Nevada in a few weeks to take a vacation after my vacation. I love our family gathering but cooking for 15 for a week wears you out.
